How much does a website cost in Andorra, and what does the price include?
How much does a website cost in Andorra? It's a bit like asking how much a house costs: it depends on what it needs to do, how many rooms it has and who builds it. In this guide I explain, without the fluff, which items drive the price, what a good quote should include and how to compare offers that at first glance look nothing alike.
What type of website do you need?
The first thing that drives the price is the type of project. A brochure website isn't designed or built the same way as an online shop or a platform with a client area. Before you ask for a quote, try to place yourself in one of these groups:
| Type of website | What it's for | What makes it more expensive |
|---|---|---|
| Brochure website | Explaining what you do and generating enquiries | Number of pages, copy and photography |
| Lead-generation website | Turning visits into calls, bookings or appointments | Connected forms, WhatsApp, bookings, CRM |
| Online shop | Selling products with payment and shipping | Catalogue, payment gateway, shipping, taxes |
| Platform or client area | Registered clients, simulators, calculators | Custom logic, user accounts, security, testing |
Many Andorran business websites are a hybrid: a lead-generation site with a small catalogue, or a corporate site with a simulator. What matters is that the quote describes what the website will do, not just how many pages it will have.
The factors that affect the price most
Custom design or template
A template is cheaper at first, but it looks like plenty of other businesses' sites and usually carries code you don't need. A custom design starts from your brand and your customers and is built with only what's necessary, which also helps the site load fast.
Languages
In Andorra the norm is Catalan and Spanish, and many businesses add English or French. Each language done properly needs its own reviewed copy, its own URL and its own setup for Google. It's not just translation: it's like having one more website. I explain it in depth in Multilingual website in Andorra: Catalan, Spanish, French and English without losing rankings.
Content: copy and photography
If you already have copy that sells and good-quality photos of your own, the project moves faster. If they need to be written, adapted or shot, that's work that should appear in the quote. Websites that convert usually have copy written for the customer, not lifted from the catalogue.
Connections to your business
Forms that feed into your CRM, bookings, WhatsApp, payments, your invoicing software or an automatic welcome email. Each connection saves hours later on, but it has to be set up and tested. This is where a website stops being a brochure and becomes a tool.
Technical SEO and speed
A fast, accessible, well-structured website ranks better and converts more. Check that the quote includes the basic setup for Google: titles, descriptions, structured data, a sitemap and redirects if you already had a website.
Legal texts and cookies
In Andorra, the Llei 29/2021 qualificada de protecció de dades personals (Andorra's Qualified Personal Data Protection Act) applies. Your website needs a legal notice, a privacy policy, a cookie policy and, if you use analytics or advertising, a consent banner that actually works. It's worth having a legal adviser review them.
What a good quote should include
- The goal of the website and the actions you want visitors to take.
- A list of pages or sections, with the languages.
- Who provides the copy and the photos.
- Included integrations: forms, CRM, bookings, payments.
- Technical SEO, speed and accessibility.
- Legal texts and cookie management.
- Training so you can edit the website yourself.
- What happens afterwards: hosting, backups, updates and support.
- A timeline with start and delivery dates.
- A fixed price, with IGI (Andorra's general indirect tax) shown separately.
If you're comparing two quotes, put them side by side against this list. Many price differences come down to one including copy, languages or maintenance and the other not.
What happens after launch
A website isn't finished the day it goes live. It needs security updates, backups, small changes and, above all, improvements based on what visitors actually do. You can handle it yourself, with training, or leave it to someone each month. Both options are explained in my menu.
How to save without it costing you more later
- Define the goal clearly before you start: changing your mind halfway through is what drives costs up most.
- Prepare your copy and photos or, at least, the core information.
- Start with what brings in customers and leave the nice-to-haves for a second phase.
- Ask for a fixed price: that way the risk of extra hours isn't yours.
- Choose someone who teaches you to use the website, so you don't depend on them for every change.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a custom website take to build?
It depends on the scope and how quickly the content arrives. In the proposal I give you a start date and a delivery date, and we stick to them with reviews at each stage.
Is IGI charged on a website in Andorra?
Yes. Web design services are subject to IGI, Andorra's general indirect tax. A good quote shows it separately so you can see the real price.
Is a template or a custom design better?
If you need something quick and very simple, a template can do the job. If the website has to set you apart and bring in customers, a custom design usually pays off better in the medium term.
What if I already have a website?
We review what works, keep the useful content and redirect the old URLs to the new ones so you don't lose your rankings.
That's why I work with fixed prices: first we talk, I understand what you need and I give you a figure before we start. No surprises along the way.
